Returning Staff
Congratulations on your invitation to return to work in 2008. Camps 'R' Us employs the most amazing Staff Members in the camping industry. Be proud, because you are an integral part of one of the most respected and admired summer camps in the country.
To complete your Staff Application, please scroll down to the bottom of this page. Returning Staff Members are required to accept their return invitation by March 1st. After that date, you will not be guaranteed a position for the summer. If you choose not to return to work, please Contact Us as soon as possible.
New Applicants
Please realize that there are a number of trends that evolve during our active staffing months. All Camps 'R' Us Staff Members who worked last summer must be invited back by the Directors. This invitation is extended each year in December, and responses are accepted through March. To earn this invitation, the Staff Member must have excelled in all aspects of the Camps 'R' Us Working Standards. They will have demonstrated the unique ability to cultivate their talents in creating a safe, nurturing environment for the children under their care.
Camps 'R' Us Summer Camps have a very high return rate among staff. Therefore, our new applicant pool is often far greater in number than the positions available at our camps. We are highly selective when choosing new Staff Members, and only those who excel throughout the hiring process will be offered a position.
Please Note: All contact regarding Staff Applications must be made by the applicant. Parents and Guardians are asked to refrain from calling on behalf of their child.
The Interview
All New Applicants must be interviewed by a Camps 'R' Us Director. This is the most crucial part of the hiring process. Make a good impression, and you will get the position. Make a bad one, and enjoy your summer vacation.
Interviews are scheduled after you submit the Staff Application. Here are some tips for making a good impression.
- Arrive on time. On time means 5-10 minutes early. Adjust your travel accommodations accordingly to allow for circumstances that may delay your arrival.
- Dress Appropriately. Attire for a Camps 'R' Us interview is casual, but neat. Your appearance has an effect on your interview. Camps 'R' Us staff must look and act professionally at all times.
- Bring Supportive Materials. This includes one ore more recommendations, a resume, and/or a curriculum vitae.
The Staff Application
We recommend completing the form on your computer. You have the option to type directly into all of the character fields. This will ensure a neat and precise application, one that is free from errors that may slow the hiring process. Once you complete your application digitally, it cannot be saved, so be sure to print it out immediately.
Complete the non-digital sections by selecting your Campus and Shirt Size. Make sure to sign and date the application. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must sign the form as well.
