How much training did you have before becoming a parent?
Each summer, we focus our full attention on campers, those amazing people also known as your children. Kids are the reason for camp, and we love every one of the over eight thousand kids we have had the pleasure of caring for at Camps 'R' Us.
Camps 'R' Us Staff Members are among the most experienced and highly trained in the country. They endure a rigorous interview and screening process, undergo a very detailed background check, and are trained and oriented to the proper methods of child care during an intense 36-hour program. All of this is required to work the 40-day summer camp season.
As parents, you are given a much more challenging task. Raising a child is the most wonderful and demanding occupation in the world. Of the most difficult jobs in the world, none require a commitment like that of a parent. You must be ready for anything, all day, every day.
If we compare the amount of training given to Camps 'R' Us Staff Members for one 40-day summer, parents would require at least four years of training to be qualified to care for their child!
Of course, this is the real world, and you probably have trouble finding a few minutes for yourself. Parenting skills are developed through instinct, experience, and help from those who have done it before. That's where Camps 'R' Us comes in. We have over 15 years of experience caring for children of all ages, in addition to raising two of our own. We utilize ideas from professionals in the child care and related fields to enhance our program, and now, we would like to bring that professionalism to parenting as well.
