Camps ‘R’ Us’ elite teen trip and travel program, the Voyagers, provides 7th, 8th and 9th grade campers with the experience of a lifetime as they find themselves facing new and exhilarating experiences every day. Never in the same place twice, our campers are introduced to a new world of stimulating adventures with a summer family that they will cherish for years to come.
The Voyagers Teen Trip and Travel Program is the premier summer camp experience for teenagers, and it is offered for four weeks each summer.
Swimming Venue: Cantiague Park Pool
Bowling Venue: AMF Syosset Lanes
The Voyagers staff is comprised of elite Counselors, Specialists and Group Leaders, handpicked by our Directors to take on the challenge of a comprehensive trip and travel program. Voyager Leaders are specially trained to work with teenage campers, and are all certified in First Aid, CPR, Anaphylaxis Response and AED.
All destinations and activities are planned exclusively for Voyagers. Each summer, we embark on daily adventures that are unlike any other Camps ‘R’ Us program.
This summer’s day trip schedule includes: Dave & Busters, Splish Splash, The Cliffs, Bowlmor Lanes, Dorney Park, the Jersey Shore, Montauk, Wicked on Broadway, Scott’s Pizza Tours, One World Observatory and Jones Beach.
Voyagers are unique from other campers at Camps ‘R’ Us. They travel to trip venues apart from all other campers, and in essence, are like their own traveling campus. It is because of this exclusivity that Voyagers develop the deepest bonds of friendship and camaraderie throughout the summer.
Furthermore, the Voyagers are the only camper division that unites all of our campuses as one. Campers have the opportunity to interact with others who, under any other circumstance, would never have met.
Each summer, our Voyagers community becomes a family, united by their common interests and by the amazing adventures that they experience together.
The “ride” is a time for anticipation, bonding, and sharing. Since each day is unique, our staff discusses the activity of the day in advance so that the campers are familiar with plans for the destination. This helps us to move quickly through ticketing, lineup and buddies, so we can quickly begin with the making of memories.
For nearby destinations, Voyagers travel in air-conditioned buses equipped with CD/MP3 equipped sound systems. For more distant venues, Voyagers travel aboard an air-conditioned, video and bathroom equipped luxury tour bus.
Buses are provided by well-respected transportation companies, including professional drivers with verified safety records.
The majority of trips taken by the Voyagers are day trips, with buses returning home by the end of the camp day. There are also overnight trips planned, in which campers spend the night at the venue. During overnight trips, the Voyagers travel with additional staff, and stay in deluxe accommodations.
Voyagers will embark on two overnight excursions this summer, to Club Getaway, in Kent, CT, for 3 days, two nights, and to Boston, MA, with stops at the Pez Factory, New England Aquarium, the Freedom Trail, Six Flags New England, Quincy Market and Fenway Park to see the Red Sox take on the Toronto Blue Jays.
The Voyagers program operates for the first four weeks of the summer camp season. At the conclusion of the program, campers have the option to continue their summer for up to an additional 4 weeks as a trainee in our popular C2 Program (9th grade) or as campers in Division 78 (7th/8th grade).
Additional weeks are priced are $100.00 per week for the C2 Program and $200.00 per week for Division 78.
