We’re excited to announce our new Campus Directors for the 2013 camp season!

At our West Islip Campus, we welcome Bernadette McHugh, who is currently an ELA teacher at our host school, Our Lady of Lourdes. Bernadette comes to Camps ‘R’ Us with a wealth of camp knowledge, both as a former camper and camp staff member at Twin Oaks, Pierce Camp Birchmont and Young People’s Day Camp. We are excited for her to bring her experience and exuberance to Camps ‘R’ Us this summer.

Our Managing Director, Jason Turnier, will be taking the Campus Director position at our Farmingdale Campus. With over 20 years at Camps ‘R’ Us and 15 years as a camp professional, we are excited for Jason to bring his experience and expertise to Farmingdale.

Taking over as Campus Director at our Valley Stream Campus is George Brandes, who has worked with Camps ‘R’ Us for the past 5 years (four of those years as the CRU Valley Stream Program Director). George is a veteran of the camp experience in addition to being a High School Social Studies teacher for the New York City Dept. of Education, and we are excited to have him step into this position after many successful years as Program Director.

Women of Integrity Inc., is a group of like minded positive women, who will give back to their community and make a difference. They are sponsoring a program that gives underprivileged teen girls a chance to go to Prom. Dresses need to be dry cleaned and in good condition. They can be dropped off at the Camps ‘R’ Us Main Office any weekday between 10 AM and 4 PM, or at the following locations:

The contest was offered during the last two weeks of December 2012. Each family has received a $300 discount towards their 2013 camp fees. Chances of winning were 1:5. See our official contest rules for details.
