Camper Programs

At Camps ‘R’ Us, we stress the importance of safety by creating an environment that requires clear-cut goals and values. Campers sense that they are part of an orderly, safe environment and this helps them develop a positive self-image.

We offer camp programs in which enrollment is based on age and/or grade, and that are designed for children to learn, play and grow in a safe, supportive environment. Our camp programs are of the highest quality, and they are staffed by our expertly trained Counselors, Group Leaders and Directors.

There are campers as young as three and as old as fifteen, comprising several campers divisions. We offer a broad programming curriculum designed to meet the needs of campers in each division, while instilling an overall sense of community, camaraderie and friendship across the entire campus.

Our staff are trained specifically to safeguard the overall well-being of the campers they supervise, and they are taught to support specific developmental milestones throughout the summer. Opportunities arise every day at camp in which staff have an ideal chance to offer insight to campers, and these teachable moments are encouraged and supported by our senior leadership.

Tiny Tots®
The Camps ‘R’ Us Tiny Tots® program is designed to complement the unique complexities of early childhood, and introduces 3 and 4 year olds to their first camp experience in a warm, caring, and supportive environment. The program is designed to develop a positive self-concept, while focusing on creativity, motor-skill development and imagination.

We offer a balanced, age-appropriate curriculum for 5 and 6 year old boys and girls who have just completed preschool or kindergarten. Our KinderKamp program offers a natural progression for campers who are ready to take on the challenges of more advanced activities, new experiences and enhanced programming.

Campers thrive in a very nurturing camp setting, with a low camper to staff ratio, scaled down equipment perfectly sized for active young campers, and the freedom to be creative through Arts & Crafts, Imagination Station, Music and Dance.

1st & 2nd Graders
Once campers arrive in our grade-based divisions, they are very active and can’t wait to play! 1st & 2nd graders are ready for the full range of camp activities, and we offer a diverse curriculum with programming that introduces campers to mainstream sports, enhanced creative arts, and technology-based activities.

Campers thrive in a very active camp setting, with a low camper to staff ratio. Focus is given to physical and emotional development through non-competitive play and campers are encouraged to try new things without the risk typically associated with failure.

C2 Program
The C2 (Camper 2 Counselor) Program is for campers who have completed 9th grade. It’s our version of a Counselor-In-Training program, designed specifically to fully assist in the transition from camper to staff member.

C2s are given the opportunity to take part in “real world” training, under the direct mentorship of a Camps ‘R’ Us counselor. During the summer, they are assigned to a group in a younger camper division to assist with programming and activities. Skills learned as a C2 include group management, lesson planning, activity preparation and game moderation.
