Campus Director

Job Description: Campus Directors administer all aspects of the camp experience for Campers, Parents and Staff at their campus. Responsibilities include the supervision of site and facilities, health and wellness, transportation, program implementation, operations and logistics, and risk management processes to maintain a safe, nurturing and dynamic camp program. Campus Directors are responsible for the overall quality of programming for Campers and Staff. Applicants must have significant relevant camp experience in a leadership role, advanced oral and written communication skills, and experience using cloud-based management and workspace software.
Eligibility Requirements: Campus Director candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree; a Master’s Degree or higher is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of camp experience including 5 years in a Senior Staff role at Camps ‘R’ Us is preferred. Additional professional experience will be considered when specific eligibility requirements within the camp experience are not met. Campus Directors must meet the minimum age requirement of the American Camp Association, which is 25 years of age or older.

Assistant Director

Job Description: Assistant Directors are responsible for facilitating all aspects of the Camper group experience, managing Group Leaders and Group Counselors. In addition, they assist the Campus Director in the management of the campus operations as well as other administrative tasks. Assistant Directors are also responsible for helping to train, support and evaluate Group Staff. Applicants must have relevant camp experience in a leadership role, and well-developed oral and written communication skills.
Eligibility Requirements: Assistant Directors should have at least 5 years of camp experience, and preference is given to ascending Camps ‘R’ Us Senior Staff. Additional professional experience will be considered when specific eligibility requirements within the camp experience are not met.

Program Director

Job Description: Program Directors are responsible for facilitating all aspects of the camp program, which includes activities, events, themes, and electives, as well as trips off-campus. In addition, they lead all campus assemblies, including BREAKOUT, while also assisting the Campus Director and Associate Director in the management of the campus operations. Program Directors are also responsible for helping to train, support and evaluate Program Staff. Applicants must have relevant camp experience in a leadership role, and well-developed oral and written communication skills.
Eligibility Requirements: Program Directors should have at least 5 years of camp experience, and preference is given to ascending Camps ‘R’ Us Senior Staff. Additional professional experience will be considered when specific eligibility requirements within the camp experience are not met.

Tiny Tots® Lead Teacher

Job Description: The Tiny Tots Lead Teacher guides our youngest campers, ages 3–5, through an engaging early childhood program designed to prepare our pre-kindergarten campers for their next educational steps. This role involves leading and managing a classroom, teaching foundational school readiness skills, and creating a nurturing, and fun while safe environment. Responsibilities include maintaining open and professional communication with camper parents, ensuring proper supervision ratios, providing basic first aid when necessary, and using age-appropriate classroom management techniques to support learning and positive behavior.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must have relevant early childhood camp or classroom experience. A current early childhood education certification is preferred.

Group Leader

Job Description: Group Leaders are responsible for guiding and supervising campers and counselors within their assigned group. They will manage camper schedules and help with facilitation and participation in all daily group activities. Group Leaders will also communicate with parents regarding day-to-day activities, behaviors, and other updates. Ideal candidates should be comfortable leading a group of children, adapting to changing schedules, problem-solving on the spot, managing group dynamics, and demonstrating patience.
Eligibility Requirements: The candidates must be 18 and over and should have at least 2-3 seasons of experience in an organized camp setting, day care, or educational field. Additional relevant experience will be considered when specific eligibility requirements within the camp experience are not met.

Group Counselor

Job Description: As a Group Counselor, you’ll be at the heart of the camp experience, guiding your group through daily activities, sparking enthusiasm, and creating memorable moments. You’ll lead campers through their schedule, participate in field trips and special events, and serve as a trusted mentor they can count on throughout the day.
Eligibility Requirements: The candidates must be 16 and over and must be enthusiastic about working with children ages 3 through 8th grade and display a natural ability to mentor and inspire young people. Counselors should bring energy to engage in diverse activities ranging from arcade games to outdoor sports, while maintaining a positive attitude and commitment to being an excellent role model.

Junior Counselor

Job Description: The Junior Counselor program offers young adults an opportunity to take on greater responsibility at camp. Junior Counselors support camp programs by setting up and breaking down equipment and materials throughout the day, all while developing foundational workplace skills in a supportive, structured environment. JCs actively engage with campers and assist with facilitating activities across campus.
Eligibility Requirements: This position is for current high school students completing 10th grade, or who turn 15 years old, prior to the summer camp season. Junior Counselors must be enthusiastic about working with children ages 3 through 4th grade and demonstrate a commitment to being a positive role model. JCs should be ready to facilitate and engage with campers in all campus activities, including helping with setup and breakdown at the end of each period and day.

Counselor-In-Training (CIT)

Job Description: For 9th graders considering a future as camp staff, the CIT program is a “Fully Assisted Staff Training” (FAST) experience designed to launch their camp career. CITs participate as campers with special privileges while working closely with Camp Counselors and Group Leaders to learn the fundamentals of working with children at camp. Throughout the summer, CITs are mentored by current staff and gain hands-on experience that prepares them for a paid Junior Counselor position. Successful completion of the program grants preferred status when applying for a Junior Counselor role the following summer.
Eligibility Requirements: The Counselor in Training Program is an unpaid internship offered free of charge to eligible participants. Applicants must be completing 9th grade and at least 14 years old by the start of the camp season. The application process requires completing a Staff Application and personal interview. Camps ‘R’ Us administration has full discretion in selecting qualified applicants for the CIT program.positions in the CIT program.

Arts & Camp Creations Team

Job Description: Arts & Camp Creations Team Members facilitate specialized creative programs across campus. Staff are primarily assigned to one position—Edible Art (food-based crafts with allergy awareness), Arts & Crafts (project facilitation and supply management), or Lanyard Land (plastic lace accessories)—and may cover related positions as needed. All roles follow a curriculum-based schedule and require strong organizational skills and a passion for hands-on creativity. Candidates must be 18+, with classroom experience and education backgrounds preferred.

Athletics Team

Job Description: Athletics Team Members lead daily sports and physical activities using a curriculum-based schedule across various specialty areas. Staff may rotate between positions including Field Athletics (outdoor sports and field management), Court Sports (competitive games and court supervision), Gymnasium (indoor sports and gym operations), Splash Zone (water activities and waterslide management), and Gaga (pit supervision and gameplay). A background in sports, coaching, or physical education is recommended for all Athletics positions.

Dance Activity Staff

Job Description: Dance, Movement, and Music Staff lead campers in semi-weekly group movement and music instruction, preparing them for the annual camp talent show and other summer events. You’ll guide campers through activities including dance, music, fitness, cheer, and drumming while fostering creativity and confidence. Staff also host the end-of-summer talent show, encouraging all campers to participate and creating memories that will last a lifetime.
Eligibility Requirements: The candidates must be 18 and over and must have a strong background in dance with experience in a structured dance program. Music training, playing an instrument, and singing experience are a plus.

Games & Activities Team

Job Description: Games & Activities Staff rotate between three dynamic activity areas to keep campers engaged and entertained. WonderWorks Staff facilitate STEAM and sensory play with toys like LEGO®, Magna-Tiles®, and Play-Doh®. Game Room Staff supervise classic games including ping-pong, air hockey, arcade machines, and foosball. ‘R’ Cade Staff manage our video game area featuring PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch consoles.

Steam & Discovery Activity Staff

Job Description: As the STEAM & Discovery Leader, you’ll help campers build valuable skills in science, technology, engineering, art, and math right at camp. You’ll facilitate hands-on lessons, guide campers through exciting projects, and help them explore new concepts within the world of STEAM. All activities follow the Camps ‘R’ Us STEAM curriculum, giving you a structured foundation to inspire young learners.
Eligibility Requirements: The candidates must be 18 and over and should have a strong interest in hands-on learning and working with children. Ideal candidates are those currently working in or pursuing a career in education.

Special Operations

Job Description: Special Operations Staff play a vital role in keeping camp running smoothly by managing the organization’s supply chain. You’ll oversee the distribution and delivery of camp equipment between the warehouse and campuses, maintain and repair equipment as needed, and assist with event management throughout the summer.
Eligibility Requirements: Special Operations Staff must possess a valid driver’s license and be able to safely lift and carry loads of 50 lbs or more.

Campus Operations

Job Description: Campus Operations Staff are an essential part of keeping each Camps ‘R’ Us location running smoothly every day. You’ll set up equipment, handle small repairs, and guide Junior Counselors through morning and evening procedures to keep camp organized, clean, and ready for every event and activity.
Eligibility Requirements: Campus Operations Staff must be able to safely lift and carry loads of 50 lbs or more. Possession of a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle is preferred.

Explorers® Director

Job Description: Explorers® Directors administer all aspects of the trip and travel camp experience for Campers, Parents and Staff in our teen program for 5th-8th graders. Responsibilities include the coordination of off-site excursions, health and safety protocols, transportation logistics, program implementation, operations management, and risk assessment processes to maintain a safe, nurturing and dynamic travel experience. Explorers Directors are responsible for the overall quality of programming during day trips.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must have significant relevant experience leading youth programs in a travel context, advanced oral and written communication skills, and experience using cloud-based management and workspace software.

Office / Support

Job Description: Office Support Staff work seasonally with the Camps ‘R’ Us main office to support the Creative, Operations, Human Resources, and Registration teams throughout the year. During the camp season, support staff assist with daily operations and camper services. Outside of the camp season, they help with program planning, registration processing, staff recruitment, and preparing for the upcoming summer.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must have advanced oral and written communication skills, and experience using cloud-based management and workspace software.

MEDIA & PHOTOGRAPHY

Job Description: Media Team Members capture the magic of camp through dynamic photo and video content that showcases our campers, programs, and community. We offer two flexible positions: Parent Photographers work 9:00 AM–3:00 PM and receive full free tuition for one camper in exchange for their time, while Staff Photographers work a 4-hour morning or afternoon shift for hourly pay. Both roles are perfect for creative individuals passionate about storytelling through photography and videography.
