Camps ‘R’ Us is Long Island’s neighborhood summer day camp, family owned and operated with 10 campuses. Campers enjoy an array of sports, arts & crafts, gaming, gaga, dance, STEAM, swimming, special events, field trips and more, and Parents love the peace of mind that comes with knowing their children are cared for in a safe, nurturing environment.

Campus Director

Now hiring in Deer Park, East Rockaway, Farmingdale.
Job Description: Campus Directors are responsible for helping to further the mission of camp through the supervision of a campus in all aspects of the camp experience, focusing on program implementation, site and facility management, liaising with camp and site principles, managing Staff, logistics mitigation, and coordinating with special operations. Applicants must have significant experience in a leadership role, proficient oral and written communication skills, experience working in a tall, tiered organizational structure, and advanced skills using cloud-based management and workspace software.
Eligibility Requirements: Campus Director candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree; a Master’s Degree or higher is preferred. A minimum of 10 years of camp experience including 5 years in a Senior Staff role at Camps ‘R’ Us is preferred. Additional professional experience will be considered when specific eligibility requirements within the camp experience are not met. Campus Directors must meet the minimum age requirement of the American Camp Association, which is 25 years of age or older.

Associate Director

Now hiring in Baldwin, Deer Park.
Job Description: Associate Directors are responsible for supervising Camper groups and Group Staff, including Group Leaders, Counselors, and Jr. Counselors. They manage Camper arrival and dismissal, attendance, Family communications, and overall health and wellness on campus. while assisting the Campus Director in group Staff training, management, and evaluations.
Eligibility Requirements: Associate Directors should have at least 5 years of camp experience, and preference is given to ascending Camps ‘R’ Us Senior Staff. Additional professional experience will be considered when specific eligibility requirements within the camp experience are not met.

Program Director

Now hiring in Baldwin, Bellmore, East Rockaway, Saint James, Syosset.
Job Description: Program Directors are responsible for facilitating all aspects of the camp program, which includes activities, events, and theme days. In addition, they lead all campus assemblies, including BREAKOUT!®, while also assisting the Campus Director in the training, management, and evaluation of the Activity Staff.
Eligibility Requirements: Program Directors should have at least 5 years of camp experience, and preference is given to ascending Camps ‘R’ Us Senior Staff. Additional professional experience will be considered when specific eligibility requirements within the camp experience are not met.

Tiny Tots® Lead Teacher

Job Description: The Tiny Tots® Lead Teacher supervises Campers and Counselors in an early childhood group setting, and is responsible for the management and facilitation of age-appropriate activities and events for the group. During the summer, Lead Teachers will liaise with Activity Staff, communicate with Parents, and provide consistent, adaptable leadership for the group.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must have relevant early childhood camp or classroom experience. A current early childhood education certification is preferred.

Group Leader

Job Description: Group Leaders supervise Campers and Counselors in a group setting, and are responsible for the management of their attendance and schedule. Group Leaders also facilitate participation in activities and events, liaise with Program Staff, and communicate with Camp Families in addition to providing consistent and adaptable leadership, group management and the ability to problem solve.
Eligibility Requirements: Group Leaders should have at least 2-3 seasons of experience in an organized camp setting, day care, or educational field. Additional relevant experience will be considered when specific eligibility requirements within the camp experience are not met.

Camp Counselor

Job Description: Camp Counselors are the primary caregivers at camp, who are responsible for delivering a positive, fulfilling camp experience to our Campers. They are responsible for leading their group through the camp schedule, and helping Campers to fully participate in planned activities, special events, and trips.
Eligibility Requirements: Camp Counselors love working with children, and have an affinity for mentorship, being a positive role model, and facilitating a fun, engaging experience for their Campers.

Junior Counselor Internship

Job Description: The Junior Counselor Internship is the first step in a young adult’s camp career. “JCs” help out on campus with facilitating camp programs and setting up equipment and materials, all while learning foundational workplace skills in a supportive, structured work environment.
Eligibility Requirements: This paid internship if for current high school students completing 10th grade, or who turn 15 years old, prior to the summer camp season.

Arts & Crafts Staff

Job Description: Arts & Crafts Staff are responsible for facilitating arts & crafts projects for Campers based on the campus curriculum and schedule, as well as managing the art room, including organizing and properly storing supplies and materials.
Eligibility Requirements: Arts & Crafts Staff should have great organizational and leadership skills, and an affinity for hand-ons crafting. Classroom experience and a background in education are a plus.

Athletics Staff

Job Description: Athletics Staff are responsible for facilitating activities for Campers in a variety of competitive and cooperative sports and games, based on the campus athletics curriculum and schedule, as well as managing the athletic activity spaces, fields, indoor gym and related equipment on campus.
Eligibility Requirements: Athletics Staff should have a background in organized sports, and an interest in coaching or physical education. Current and former athletes, coaches, and Phys Ed. teachers preferred.

Dance, Movement, and Music Staff

Job Description: Dance, Movement, and Music Staff lead Campers in semi-weekly group dance instruction, in preparation for the annual camp talent show. Other activities, such as movement and music, may be incorporated, including fitness, yoga, and drumming.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicants must have a strong background in dance, with experience in a structured dance program. Music training, playing an instrument, and singing experience is a plus.

Edible Art Staff

Job Description: Edible Art Staff are responsible for facilitating art projects that Campers can eat! They follow a scheduled program curriculum, and also manage their supply inventory and crafting space.
Eligibility Requirements: Edible Art Staff should have great organizational and leadership skills, and an affinity for hand-ons crafting with food. Classroom experience and a background in education are a plus.

Game Room Staff

Job Description: Game Room Staff are responsible for maintaining and facilitating activities for Campers in the game room, which includes a variety of interactive table and board games such as ping pong, air hockey, pop-a-shot and more.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should love to play games, and have a knack for teaching others how to play. Strong organizational skills are a must, especially for keeping track of game parts and pieces.

‘R’ Cade Staff

Now hiring in Bellmore, East Rockaway, Hicksville.
Job Description: Shades’ Famous ‘R’ Cade features an array of amazing video games, including modern consoles like PlayStation 4, XBox One, and Nintendo Switch. ‘R’ Cade Staff are responsible for maintaining and facilitating electronic gaming for Campers.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should be familiar with modern video game consoles and games, and should have an affinity for gaming. Strong organizational skills are required, as well as an understanding of basic wiring and connectivity.

STEAM and Discovery Staff

Job Description: STEAM and Discovery Staff are responsible for facilitating lessons and projects based on our camp STEAM curriculum.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should be interested in hands-on learning, and ideal candidates will be working in a educational field or currently pursuing a career in education.

Splash Zone Staff

Now hiring in All Locations.
Job Description: Splash Zone Staff are responsible for facilitating scheduled on-campus water play for Campers, including the use of inflatable slides, sprayers, splash pads, and spray buddies as well as programmed games using buckets, sponges, balloons, and other water play equipment and supplies.
Eligibility Requirements: Splash Zone Staff should have an affinity for working outdoors, and must be comfortable getting wet while facilitating activities. They must have strong creative and organizational skills.

WonderWorks Staff

Now hiring in All Locations.
Job Description: Wonder Works Program Staff are responsible for facilitating a variety of activities in the campus “maker space,” using STEAM and sensory toys, including Play-Doh®, LEGO®, Magna-Tiles®, and more.
Eligibility Requirements: Applicants should love to play in a creative setting, and have a knack for teaching others how to build, imagine, and share. Strong organizational skills are a must, especially for keeping track of activity parts and pieces.

Woodworking Staff

Job Description: Woodworking Staff are responsible for facilitating woodworking projects for Campers based on the campus curriculum and schedule, as well as managing the woodworking room, including organizing and properly storing supplies and materials.
Eligibility Requirements: Woodworking Staff should have great organizational and leadership skills, and an affinity for hand-ons crafting. Classroom experience and a background in education are a plus.

Special Operations

Now hiring in Farmingdale.
Job Description: Special Operations Staff are responsible for working within the organization’s supply chain, managing the distribution and delivery of camp equipment between the warehouse and campuses, maintaining and repairing equipment as needed, and assisting with event management throughout the summer.
Eligibility Requirements: Must possess a valid driver’s license. Must be able to safely lift and carry loads of 50 lbs or more.

Campus Operations

Now hiring in All Locations.
Job Description: Campus Operations Staff are responsible for helping to manage the day-to-day operations at a particular Camps ‘R’ Us campus, including but not limited to equipment management and setup, minor repairs, receiving deliveries, managing inventory, campus cleanliness, and event support.
Eligibility Requirements: Possession of a valid driver’s license and personal vehicle is preferred. Must be able to safely lift and carry loads of 50 lbs or more.
