At Camps ‘R’ Us, leadership isn’t taught in a classroom; it’s discovered on the gaga court and in the art studio. Our campus environment is designed so that as kids move through their day, they naturally find opportunities to step up. Our curriculum is specifically tailored to three distinct groups to ensure every child feels successful and supported:
- Tiny Tots® (Nursery and Pre-K): Our youngest campers, age 3 and up, begin their journey in a nurturing environment. We focus on early social skills, independent play, and building the foundation of confidence through guided exploration and expert supervision.
- Campers (Grades K-4): This program encourages children to step out of their comfort zones. You’ll see it when a camper who was quiet on Monday is the first to volunteer to lead their team’s cheer on Friday, or when a group huddles together to strategize their next move in a relay race.
Through various group activities, kids learn to cooperate, share ideas, and respect one another as they participate in a high-energy daily schedule.
- Explorers® (Grades 5-8): Our oldest campers focus on independence and social leadership. This program gives them the autonomy to make choices and lead team projects, preparing them for the social and academic challenges of middle school and beyond.
Growth happens organically when an older Explorer takes a younger camper under their wing during group time, showing them the ropes of a new game or offering a word of encouragement.
How Daily Activities Build Resilience and Confidence
We believe that confidence is built through action and discovery. By offering a wide range of activities, we give every child a chance to find their “spark” and excel in a non-overnight, community-centered environment.
Athletics play a major role in teaching resilience and physical literacy. Campers participate in Field Sports like soccer and kickball, as well as Court Sports like basketball and volleyball. These sessions emphasize sportsmanship over intense competition. For many, the high-energy Gaga pits are a daily highlight for building quick thinking and agility.
Beyond the field, our WonderWorks® program introduces STEAM concepts through hands-on projects, while Arts & Crafts allows for personal creative expression. To beat the summer heat, our Swimming and Splash Zone sessions provide a safe, fun way to build water confidence and cool off with friends.
