Some days at camp start like any other day. And then the truck pulls up. And the slides start going up. And suddenly every camper on campus knows that today is not any other day. Water Slides day is exactly what it sounds like and somehow still more than you expect. Two to three giant professional water slides, three to four times the size of the regular campus slides, set up right on campus for two full days of the biggest splash time of the summer. Music playing, water flying, and every single camper from Tiny Tots to Explorers fully in it together.
- Event Dates: Water Slides takes place over two consecutive days at each campus. Check your campus calendar for scheduling.
- This is an on-campus event. Normal drop-off and pick-up schedules apply.
- What to Bring: Bathing suit worn under clothes, towel, and a change of clothes. Same as any regular splash day.
- Sunscreen: Camps ‘R’ Us provides Coral Isles SPF 50 sunscreen, a reef-safe, fragrance-free, hypoallergenic formula that is water resistant for up to 80 minutes and safe for all skin types including sensitive skin. We recommend applying at home before your camper arrives. Staff will assist with reapplication throughout the day.
- Spending Money: Not needed. Water Slides are fully included and there is nothing to purchase.
What Campers Experience
Water Slides takes over splash time for two full days at each campus. Two to three giant professional water slides, three to four times the size of the regular campus slides, are set up on the campus field and running from the moment splash time begins. Music plays throughout the entire session keeping the energy high from the first camper in line to the last run of the day.
Every age group gets their time on the slides. The rest of the camp day runs exactly as normal, with regular activities, Breakout, and programming continuing on both Water Slides days. But when splash time arrives, the field belongs to the slides. CRU staff supervise all campers throughout the session and Coral Isles SPF 50 sunscreen is provided and reapplied by staff throughout the day. Two days of the biggest splash time of the summer, right on campus, with no bus ride required.
