Our grade-based groups, for Campers who are completing grades 1 through 6, have a camp experience that includes an array of structured activities, special events, theme days, camp traditions, swimming, and field trips.
Campers are grouped based on the grade they complete in the school year leading up to the camp season. Camper Divisions are generally in two-year spans, as follows:
Divisions are made up of smaller groups, each with their own Camp Counselor. Campers and Counselors are supervised by a Group Leader.
The camp day is structured to provide groups with a variety of age-appropriate activities scheduled in 45-minute intervals, or periods.
There are also planned special events, theme days, and camp traditions that may modify the daily schedule, as well as off-campus activities including swimming and field trips.
At Camps ‘R’ Us, our activities are designed to be age-appropriate, and based on anticipated developmental milestones. Campers follow an “aspirational arc,” which means that our grade based programs grow with them as they advance their physical, intellectual, emotional, and social skills.
