Vision Boards: Helping Kids Create a Visual Representation of Hopes, Dreams and Goals for the Future

Happy New Year!

Every year we are given the opportunity to wipe the slate clean and begin anew!  As a matter of fact, we don’t have to wait an entire year to think about how we would like to live our life.

There is no time like the present!

The winter months afford us time to slow down and take pause for self reflection.  I wonder how many of us consciously carve out time to think about our hopes, dreams and goals for the future?

Vision Boards are a great way to create personal visual representation of our goals and dreams and are a fun activity to do with your kids.

Vision boards include various images, words and multidimensional objects that symbolize what a person might like to see in their future. These images and words can be found in magazines, different craft items, toys, photographs etc.  It is a fun activity to do with your kids at home on a cold winter day and you may even learn something about yourself and your child.
